Job Description

Position Description: Payroll Tax Specialists are responsible for all aspects of payroll tax processing for our clients. As a member of our team your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, new client setups, tax research, basic accounting and product support to your assigned client base through superior customer service.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Setup new clients in our tax software.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and submission of payroll taxes and returns.
  • Act as a client advocate for payroll tax filing matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Accurately research and resolve client payroll tax issues in a timely manner.
  • Review and process adjustments to quarter and year-end tax processing to ensure accurate reporting.

Requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree required, preferrably in Accounting or Human Resources.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of payroll and payroll taxing regulations.
  • Knowledge of Federal and multi-state payroll laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Web Based Applications.
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail and must be able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Capable of working under pressure and can effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Accounting Software experience a PLUS (Quickbooks, Sage, Great Plaines, etc)
  • MasterTax Software experience a PLUS
  • Experience with ADP, PayChex or Ceridian a PLUS
